Hi Gamespot. I’m Jack Barton, and I’m a writer.
I’m an experienced SEO and content writer. I’ve built websites from scratch and grown them to thousands of monthly views purely through organic search traffic. On top of that, I was a product copywriter and content writer for one of the nation’s largest e-commerce brands. And I’ve worked in fast-paced agency settings writing SEO-focused content. I currently work in the entertainment industry as a production music supervisor.

About Me
My professional background has largely been in the music industry. BUT… I’m a lifelong gamer, movie fan, and all-around nerd. In my free time you can often find me playing Switch or PC games, reading gaming news, or watching video essays about movies and games. My past experience includes sales and marketing roles for various music-related businesses, with a focus on the retail and products side.
Some of My Past Experience
Amphibious Zoo Music

This is where I currently work as a music supervisor for film, TV, advertising, and games. As a whole, Amphibious Zoo has supplied music and sound design for high-profile projects connected to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Helldivers 2, Jurassic World: Rebirth, and various Star Wars and Marvel projects. I personally manage accounts connected to brands like PlayStation, Netflix, Warner Bros Discovery, and BBC.
Sonic Atlas

Sonic Atlas was a side project I worked on while freelancing. It’s a blog-style WordPress website I built from scratch with articles about home recording gear and music software. I wrote all the articles myself, using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Search Console, and GA4 to make informed decisions on what articles to write. I also monetized the site through affiliate marketing. At its peak, it grew to 10,000+ monthly visitors primarily through SEO-driven traffic. This site was one of the ways I honed my SEO and writing skills.
Sweetwater

Sweetwater is the largest online retailer for music and audio gear. I worked there full-time as an in-house product copywriter, and later as a freelance content writer. While I was there, I wrote original product descriptions for hundreds of musical instruments and accessories. The process involved doing extensive research on those products to ensure accurate descriptions. I also fact-checked and edited existing product pages, and created a style guide for a new product category Sweetwater had never carried before. One of my achievements is writing and designing the layout for the best-selling product in the band & orchestra category.
Wavefront Creative

Wavefront Creative is just what I call my freelance marketing business. It’s the website you’re looking at right now! Since starting, I’ve worked with marketing agencies, local businesses, and organizations in various industries to create useful content and grow their site traffic. There’s always been a focus on human-first writing with SEO best practices in mind.
Why Hire Me?
First of all, I made a dedicated page for you on my website. That should tell you something about my intentions, right?
But here are some other reasons you should consider hiring me:
- I currently work in the entertainment industry as a music supervisor for film, TV, and advertising. So it’s already part of my job to have a pulse on what’s happening in pop culture.
- I’m familiar with SEO tools and best practices. Much of my professional writing has been done with SEO in mind. I built a hobby website from scratch, using tools like Ahrefs, GA4, and Google Search Console to guide its growth. My experience writing for marketing agencies also taught me many best practices.
- I worked as a product copywriter and content writer for one of the nation’s largest e-commerce brands. At Sweetwater, I wrote product descriptions and buying guides for hundreds of music and audio products. I also fact-checked existing products on the website, and wrote buying guides and long-form articles for them.
- I’m already accustomed to remote work. I’ve worked remotely for digital marketing agencies and freelance clients. And in my current job, I work with clients all over the world and have juggled schedules with people in the UK, Australia, Netherlands, India, and various parts of the USA.
